Securing the next generation of Identity and Access Management as a Service

After four years of crafting passwordless security solutions, we are excited to announce that we are joining iWelcome, a European provider of Identity & Access Management as a Service (IDAAS).

• UNLOQ is joining iWelcome, a European provider of Identity and Access Management as a Service.
• You will still be able to use our service without interruptions.
• In the following months, we will release a new mobile app under iWelcome branding. We’d love to see you stay with us, so please migrate to the new mobile app until the 31st of December 2019. More details on how to migrate will be available soon.
• On the 2nd of January 2020 we will discontinue the UNLOQ mobile app.

Who is iWelcome?

iWelcome is a provider of Identity and Access Management as a Service (IDAAS), helping organisations manage the identity lifecycle and access of their employees, customers, partners and suppliers in a simple and efficient way.

The company was founded in 2010 with the purpose of changing the face of European Identity & Access Management industry. iWelcome is a 100% European company certified by the Dutch Government and has offices in The Netherlands and Romania. Analysts such as KuppingerCole and Gartner have acknowledged iWelcome as a Product and Innovation Leader through Excellence ratings.

Why?

We began our collaboration with iWelcome in 2016, when the company was searching for a technology partner that would assist them in integrating best in class, custom Multi-Factor Authentication — they turned to UNLOQ.

Over the time we’ve developed a great working relationship based on our shared mission to provide seamless authentication and identity management solutions. In fact, UNLOQ’s passwordless authentication is already used by some of iWelcome’s customers.

This synergy will enable our teams to further built upon the existing relationship and create the next generation of Identity and Access Management as a Service.

We will continue supporting and building further on our dream towards a passwordless digital world, but under a different brand and with better access to marketing and sales resources that will help us accelerate our growth.

How will it affect me?

On the short-term, there will be no impact. However, as iWelcome will acquire our assets, our solutions will be migrated to the iWelcome brand.

Therefore, you will still be able to use our passwordless authentication service for logging in to your websites and third-party applications using the iWelcome Authenticator app.

Over the next few months, together with the iWelcome team, we will release a new version of our mobile app, under the iWelcome brand, called iWelcome Authenticator. You will then have time until the 31st of December, 2019 to move to the new app.

We will do our best to make the transition as frictionless as possible for you, but the mobile app switch is a necessary step.
